World Mixed Championship
There is no World Mixed Championship in 2025. That means that Mixed Fours now open to both US Citizens and Residents.

WCCC can have as many teams as they want in playdowns***. Registration is through sport80.org. The men’s event winner and the women’s event winner go on to represent MoPac at the national event. The winner of the national event advances to the World Mixed Championship and therefore US citizenship is required (except for 2025). ***The region with the greatest number of entries will receive an additional berth.

Qualifiers:
MoPac will host their 5&U at CurlVegas on February 21-23, 2025. Registration will open on November 7, 2024 at 6:00pm. The winner of that event (and the winners of the 23 other events) will qualify for the 5&U National Championships at St. Paul Curling Club from April 30, 2025 to May 4, 2025.

The USA Curling Senior Men’s and Women’s National Championships determine the top senior men’s and women’s teams in United States. The teams that win the 2024/2025 U.S. Senior Men’s and Women’s National Championships will represent the United States at the Senior World Championships. This is open entry; there is no regional component. Any player who is at least 50 years of age at any time during the 30th day of June of the year immediately preceding the year the competition is to take place is eligible. Players must be a citizen (no minimum residency required) of the United States as of the registration deadline.

There is a lottery for entry into these USWCA events. Please email uswca@winecountrycurlingclub.com if you would like to be the women's team representing WCCC at the National Event.

If more than one WCCC women’s team intends to go, then we would have a playdown to determine the team that is sent. The winner of the playdown represents WCCC at the National Event.

WCCC can send as many teams to this event. It is not a playdown and it does not lead to a national event (yet).

United States Senior Men’s Curling Association (USSMCA)

The USSMCA promotes senior men’s curling by crowning USSMCA national champions each year. The five curling clubs in Columbia County, Wisconsin will host the 48th USSMCA Championships, February 13-16, 2025. Seventy-two teams will compete in three divisions during the four-day event.

Eligibility

All participants must have reached their 55th birthday before the first day of competition. At least two members of any team must be members of the same U.S. club. The Chairman of the event may use his discretion in eligibility matters.

To be eligible for the Masters Division, all team members must be at least 68 years old. The 16 teams with the highest average age will constitute the Masters Division.

To be eligible for the Super Seniors Division, all team members must be at least 63 years old. The next 16 oldest teams, based upon average age, will be placed in the Super Seniors Division.

All other teams will be assigned to the Senior Division, regardless of the teams average age. The only exception being if a team, which otherwise meets the age requirement for either the Super Seniors or Masters Divisions, specifically requests in writing placement in the Senior Division.

The Championship Committee, in consultation with the USSMCA, may modify the number of teams in each Division considering the number of teams entered and their average ages.

Since this event does not lead to a national or a world event, there are no eligibility requirements.

Both teammates are from the MoPac region but not necessarily have to be from the same club.

USA Curling does host a Mixed Doubles National Championships. More info on how to qualify for that is located here: https://www.usacurling.org/championships

Open to MoPac curlers, if there is more than 1 boy’s team or more than 1 girl’s team, a playdown would be used to determine which team gets sent to Nationals. Nationals is typically held in March and do not lead to world play. Interested curlers should initiate conversations with MoPac directly: juniors@mopacca.org
