It's time to celebrate 2024 and what better way to do that than with a HOT SHOTS CONTEST and a CHILI COOKOFF!!! And how about some UGLY SWEATERS too??? Let’s live it up!!!

Wine Country Curling Club Members -- join us on Sunday December 22nd for all the fun!!!

For the HOT SHOTS contest, we'll get started at 9:45am. You’ll want to sign up as a pair so find your favorite curler and get signed up on the form below. HOT SHOTS is not a drinking game … it’s a shot-making with sweeping game!!!

There will be up to 8 people on each sheet (4 pairs) and each sheet will be a different HOT SHOT.

For example, Sheet 1 could possibly be a draw to the house through a port. You'll get a certain amount of points for how you execute that shot. If you hit the button, then you get 5 points ... if you hit the 8 foot you get 3 points ... if you don't make it through the port, you get 0 points. Each curler gets 2 attempts at each shot.

Each sheet will have a different HOT SHOT so once the group finishes their shots, then it's on to the next sheet.

At the end of the 2 hours, we'll have a tally sheet with all the points, and the CURLER with the highest point will win a prize.

Once we’re through the contest, we’ll head into the party rooms for a CHILI COOKOFF.

Please sign up using the form below if you would like your CHILI to be judged. Please make sure to bring enough chili for up to 40 tasters!!! We will provide all the supplies (tasting bowls, spoons, napkins, judging slips, etc.).  Please bring your chili in a crock-pot that can be plugged in to keep warm while we curl. Surge protectors will be provided … all crock-pots must be on a surge protector.

If you aren’t bringing chili, please note that there is lots of other stuff that is needed (cheese, crackers, side dishes, desserts, etc.).

This is not bring-your-own-drinks though … all drinks are to be purchased from Skatetown Cafe!!!
